Pricing FAQ

Do tiers include museum admission?

No. Admission at Sharm heritage rooms and Nabq gates is paid on site in Egyptian pounds. Our brief lists current public rates for budgeting.

Can I upgrade after booking Explorer?

Yes within 14 days. Pay the difference and coordinators extend your brief without restarting questionnaires.

Are monastery guesthouse beds included?

No. We recommend licensed lodges in St Catherine village; you book and pay hosts directly.

Is EGP price fixed for foreign cards?

Desk fee is charged in EGP. Banks convert at their rate; we do not add FX markup.

Do children need a full tier?

One tier covers a household. We note child-friendly substitutions inside the same brief.

What if checkpoints close unexpectedly?

Monastery Runner and Reef Coordinator tiers include extra revisions for security closures per our safety guide updates.

Payment and refund policy

Desk fees settle by bank transfer in EGP or EUR before PDF delivery for paid tiers. Explorer tier refunds within 48 hours if no coordinator time was spent. Monastery Runner refunds fifty percent if cancelled after route sketch approval. Reef Coordinator tier includes one free revision within fourteen days of delivery.

What tiers do not include

Transport tickets, dive gear, monastery guesthouse deposits, park gate cash, or guide gratuities. We list estimated cash needs per day so ATM runs are predictable. Tips for drivers and Bedouin hosts remain your discretion; our briefs suggest ranges without mandating amounts.

Can I upgrade tiers mid-trip?

Yes. Email the coordinator handling your brief; pay the difference by transfer and receive appended PDF sections within one business day.

Do groups get discounts?

Groups above six adults receive ten percent off Reef Coordinator tier when one member consolidates payment. Monastery permits still require individual passport copies.

Are prices fixed in foreign currency?

Quotes may be issued in EUR for EU bank transfers; EGP remains the settlement currency on invoices for Egyptian tax compliance.

Sample deliverables by tier

Sinai Explorer delivers a six-page PDF with two museum mornings, taxi fare table, and Ras Mohammed half-day window. Monastery Runner adds overnight St Catherine guesthouse phone list, camel path timing chart, and checkpoint Q&A sheet. Reef Coordinator merges seven-day grid with wind icons, dive surface-interval notes, and Bedouin camp etiquette one-pager.

Corporate purchase orders

EU companies may pay via SEPA transfer with VAT noted on invoice as reverse-charge where applicable. Purchase order numbers attach to GAFI invoice serials for accounting. Allow three extra days for bank clearance before brief release.

Seasonal surcharges disclosure

Peak weeks between 20 December and 5 January add EGP 200 to Monastery Runner tier due to coordinator overtime and guesthouse deposit volatility. Easter Orthodox week carries similar surcharge. Explorer tier stays flat year-round because deliverables are lighter.

Tax invoice details

Invoices show Tax ID 726-153-890 and GAFI registry 438621 for corporate reimbursement. VAT treatment follows Egyptian rules for service exports when buyer is foreign entity—ask accountant before requesting zero-rated wording we may be unable to provide.

Student discounts of ten percent apply to Explorer tier with valid ISIC photographed by email—not post-arrival—to prevent fraud during peak weeks.

Installment plans are not offered; full tier fee due before PDF release keeps coordinator schedule predictable during peak winter backlog.

Who each tier suits

Sinai Explorer fits travellers staying five to seven nights who want culture without overnight desert drives. It is popular with Russian and Polish charter groups who already booked all-inclusive hotels and only need two structured mornings away from the buffet schedule.

Monastery Runner targets spiritually curious guests and photographers willing to lose one night of sleep. It is not appropriate for guests with recent knee surgery or children under eight unless we substitute village-only content at your request.

Reef Coordinator serves certified divers and advanced snorkelers stacking multiple shore entries. Casual swimmers should downgrade to Explorer with one coastal day to avoid fatigue injuries.

Seasonal adjustments

Peak winter weeks (15 December–28 February) add EGP 150 rush surcharge disclosed before payment because coordinator capacity is finite. Shoulder season (March, November) uses list prices on this page. Ramadan hours shift museum and monastery windows; briefs during Ramadan include iftar timing notes for drivers.

Summer heat packages include mandatory midday rest blocks. We may refuse to schedule Coloured Canyon jeep tours above 42°C forecast without written guest acknowledgement.

Refund and cancellation policy

Desk fees are refundable minus EGP 200 processing if you cancel before PDF delivery. After delivery, refunds apply only when we materially misstated official closure days verifiable on government sites. Weather does not qualify for refunds; revisions do.

Chargebacks without contacting the desk first violate our terms and result in refusal of future service. We document email delivery timestamps in Cairo time.

Comparing desk fees to hotel excursions

Hotel St Catherine day trips often cost EGP 1,800 per seat with shopping stops. Our Monastery Runner plan at EGP 1,400 does not include transport but frequently saves money when four guests share a private car we help you negotiate at fair rates listed in the brief. Transparency is the product.

Similarly, dive centre packaged Ras Mohammed boats charge per head with equipment rental markups. Reef Coordinator lists shore entry options for guests with own fins and masks, subtracting boat fees entirely when conditions allow.

Tax documentation

Invoices show legal name Museum Info Desk Sharm LLC, Tax ID 726-153-890, GAFI 438621, address 17 Naama Bay Street. EU companies append English description of service: "Travel itinerary planning services." Egyptian B2B buyers request ETA e-invoice format via email with tax card scan on file.
